September BoxyCharm

After seeing some sneak peeks of the September BoxyCharm I was super excited to receive it. I did receive my box later than usual but I'm assuming hurricanes had something to do with it.

This box theme is Boxy Baddie

Soiree Diaries Eyeshadow Palette by PUR Cosmetics

This is a beautiful neutral palette. There is 12 shades; 8 of them being matte and the last 4 being shimmer. I found some of the lighter shades needed to be built up a bit when I swatched them but I'm not sure how it will behave on the eyes.

Eyebrow Pencil by MAC

This is a self sharpening eyebrow pencil. I got the shade Spiked which looks to be a dark brown. I haven't tried a ton of products from MAC so I am excited to try it.

Ultra Satin Lip by Colourpop

This is in the shade Littlestitious which is a beautiful dusty pink purple, I would almost call it mauve. This lip is a highly pigmented liquid lipstick. It isn't matte, so it doesn't feel drying on the lips. I personally enjoy the Ultra Satin Lips so I'm excited to add this shade.

Loose Blush by Studio Makeup

This blush doesn't have a shade name, it's just called Luminous Loose Blush. This is supposed to be a lightweight blush that should add a healthy and luminous glow to the cheeks. I find this blush to be in a beautiful salmon pink and it did feel very lightweight when I swatched it. I haven't heard of studio makeup before but I am excited to try this.

Face Perfecting Brush By Bare Minerals

This foundation brush has a "fluid reservoir" where you put your foundation in. This brush is supposed to give you seamless foundation application. I don't typically use a brush to apply my foundation and I'm not sure how this fluid reservoir is supposed to help.

Don't Despair Repair Deep Condition Mask by Briogeo

I am in love with this hair mask and I am so happy to have a bigger tube of it!! This is not the biggest size of this product (it comes in a tub) but I love a squeeze tube (and this product) so I am not even the tiniest bit upset that it isn't the biggest size.

That is everything that I received in my Boxycharm. I am rating this box a 5 stars out of 5. I am happy to have or to try everything in this box! I can't wait to see what is in the October box (the first sneak peek looks amazing)!!!

Sephora Favorites: Ultimate Skincare Vault

As you all probably know, I am obsessed with value sets especially the Sephora Favorites ones. The Sephora Favorities Ultimate Skincare Vault is an eight piece set focusing on skincare that is supposed to hydrate the skin for softer, smoother and healthy looking complexion.

This kit retails for 46 dollars Canadian and it does not include any full size products unfortunately!

Caudalie Beauty Elixir

I have tried this facial spray before and I did like it but I stopped buying because of the horrible spray nozzle, it always broke on me. Apparently, Caudalie has fixed this spray nozzle problem.  This spray is supposed to add radiance to the skin and tightens the appearance of pores. This facial spray can also be used to set makeup.

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel

These facial peel pads are supposed to give the skin radiance and get rid of uneven skintone and texture, fine lines and wrinkles and large pores. I have personally tried the peel for sensitive skin and I did like it!

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream

This hydration cream is supposed to give the skin 24 hour hydration. This face cream is infused with soothing rosewater and rose flower oil.

Fresh Soy Milk Cleanser

This cleanser removes makeup, dirt and impurities from the skin. This cleanser is a gel consistency and is safe enough to use on your eyes (it can remove mascara). I have tried this cleanser and I like it but not enough to purchase a full size (but I always like the travel size version)!

GlamGlow GravityMud Firming Mask

This is a mad based peel off mask that changes from white to a silver or chrome colour. This mask is supposed to tighten the skin.

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

This is a gel mask that delivers hydration to the skin while you sleep. I have tried this product and I did like it! I also like to use sleeping masks during the day, I just leave it on for a few hours.

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum

This serum is packed with Vitamin C and collagen for brightening and all day hydration. This serum is also supposed to help brighten and firm the skin.

Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream

This eye cream has brighteners in it to brighten the under eye. This eye cream also helps to reduce the look of under eye bags and dark circles. My mom is a huge lover of this eye cream so this little sample went to her.

Overall, this value set seems like as good buy if you want to try a bunch of skincare products that hydrate the skin. I am disappointed that there is no full size products or some larger sample sizes. I am also disappointed that there is two Fresh products, not because the products are terrible or I don't like them but I don't like seeing duplicate brands in these value sets.

Have you purchased this value set or another value set? Any posts or reviews you want to see? Let me know in the comments!

Stay Beautiful,
Sarah

Sephora Favorites Quench Your Skin Review

We all know value sets are my favourite thing to purchase, so when I saw this value set, I knew I had to have it.

The Quench Your Skin value set includes 10 sample size or travel sized skincare products from multiple brands. This value set focuses on hydrating the skin. I paid 56 dollars Canadian for this value set.

Dr. Jart Water Drop Moisturizer

This is a lightweight moisturizer. I have used this product and it literally feels like you are splashing water on your face. This product seems to melt with the heat of your skin and it makes it look like water droplets on your skin. I really enjoying this product and I like that it is lightweight because it soaks into the skin fast.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration

This moisturizer provides long lasting hydration to even the driest skin, include those suffering with eczema! I really love this product! I used to use it religiously but then it seemed a bit too heavy for my face. However, I still use this product as a body moisturizer.

REN Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream

This cream is soothing and has antiaging ingredients. This product is supposed to hydrate even the most sensitive skin and protect from UV damage and antiaging.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Mask

This is an overnight mask that is supposed to provide hydration to the skin. This mask is also formulated to help stop the skin from becoming dehydrated. This mask is my current favourite hydration mask (read more about it in my updated skincare routine).

Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream

This moisturizer is delivers hydration using hyaluronic acid and tamarind extract. These two ingredients are supposed to help make the skin visibly hydrated and plump. This product is also supposed to brighten the skin.

Kate Somerville Goat Milk Moisturizing Cream

This product is supposed to provide hydration to give the skin a healthy glow. I have used this product and I really like it. I find it soaks into the skin quickly and it does make my skin look healthy. I also like the way it feels on the skin.

GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow

This product is supposed to create a dewy, healthy looking glow to the skin. This moisturizer comes in 3 colours, however, I'm not sure what kind of effect the colours are supposed to have.

Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil

This oil has a lightweight formula so it quickly absorbs into the skin. Not only does this oil provide hydration but it supposedly helps keep a youthful appearance.

Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream

Drunk Elephant skincare is very popular in the beauty community. This cream is supposed to brighten the skin and improve the firmness of the skin without feeling heavy or greasy.

Josie Maran 100 percent Pure Argan Oil

This oil can be used to provide hydration to the skin, hair and nails. I personally like using argan oil with heavier face creams as it lightens the face cream and I get the benefits of the oil without feeling greasy.

That's everything in this value set! I personally think this value set is worth it as it includes some popular items and new items! I really hope Sephora comes out with a value set for the oily skin girls (and guys!) out there!

Did you purchase this value set or will your purchase this value set? If you purchased it, do you have any favourites? Let me know in the comments below!

Stay beautiful,
Sarah

Sephora Favourites Give Me Some Nude Lip Review

As many of you know, I have an addicted to the Sephora Favourites value sets! I am also currently on a mission to find my perfect nude lip so when Sephora released this value set I knew I had to have it!

This Sephora Favourite Give Me Some Nude Lip value set is 33 dollars Canadian you receive 6 lip products from multiple brands in nude shades. There is 2 full sized products included in the kit.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Honeycomb

I personally really like Bite Beauty lip products so I am always happy to see the brand included in value sets like this.  This colour is described as a beige nude which I think is accurate. The Amuse Bouche lipsticks are very pigmented and creamy. The lipsticks also have a lemon scent to them. This product is not full size.

Buxom Full on Lip Cream in White Russian

This lip product is a classic in the beauty community. This lip cream is a pigmented gloss that is made of ingredients to plump the lips. This colour is a very light nude and I also see a bit of pink in it. I have had this lip product before and I did like it but I didn't wear it very often because I found it very sticky. This product is not full size.

Estee Edit The Barest Contour Lip Liner in 05 In The Buff

Estee Edit is a new line of products by Estee Lauder. I haven't tried many of these new products so I was excited to see this included in the set. The colour of the lip liner is nude with a bit of brown in it. I like the colour of this liner because it seems like it would match any of the colours in this set. This product is full size.

Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Crème in 246 Slow Burn

I love receiving Marc Jacobs minis in value sets! Le Marc Lip Crèmes are my favourite as the lipsticks are usually super pigmented and creamy! The colour Slow Burn is described as a rosy nude and I like this colour. This product is not full size.

Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid lipstick in Queen B

The Melted Matte Liquid Lipsticks are newer to the Too Faced product line so I haven't tested them yet. When I swatched this lipstick it glided on very nice and the pigmentation seems to be very good. This colour is a mauve-nude. This product is not full size.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in 1993

The vice lipsticks come in many different formulas, this one is a comfort matte. I have received Vice Lipsticks in other value sets so I know I like the formula! This colour is described as a medium brown nude and to be honest, it scares me a little because of how brown it is. This product is full size.

Overall, I am super happy I purchased this value set! I like the variety of different nude shades in the set and the different formulas. Although, most of these brands are familiar to me, I am still trying colours I would never pick for myself.

Have you purchased this value set? What are your thoughts on it? Also, any of your favourite nude lipsticks you think I should try? Leave your recommendations in the comments below!!

Sarah

February Lip Monthly Unboxing

I was super happy with my January Lip Monthly bag (read my review here) so I decided to stay for another month!

I think this month's bag is super cute with the leopard print!

Cosmoholic Gloss

I have never heard of this brand before and unfortunately there is no shade name on the packaging. However, this is a nice brown-nude colour and the lip gloss has a nice MAC vanilla scent to it. I don't like that this gloss is super sticky. The colour payoff is great!

Model Co Lipstick in Truffle

I have had Model Co lipsticks before and I have enjoyed them. This lipstick seems to be a moisturizing lipstick as it has a balm like feel to it! This colour is also a dusty brown-nude which I think is really pretty. It has a very sweet scent to it.

Cargo Eyeshadow in Shanghal

My big issue with Lip Monthly before my January bag was the fact that they claim to be a monthly lip product bag but they were sending other products like haircare. However, I'm making an exception for this product! I have never owned a Cargo eyeshadow so I was super excited to see this in the bag. This eyeshadow looks to be brown with a purple shift to it, which is just beautiful. The eyeshadow seems to have good colour payoff and it isn't powdery.

SUGAR Matte Lip Pencil in 03 Poison Ivy

I have never heard of the brand SUGAR before but I am super excited for this lip product. This is a beautiful berry red colour that seems to be very pigmented. I personally really enjoy matte lip pencil as I find them very easy to use and great for on the go application.

That's everything in my Lip Monthly bag! I'm rating this bag a solid 3.5 out of 4 stars! I really liked everything but this bag lost half a star because of the gloss. I really like the colour but it's way to sticky for me to wear (and not knowing the shade name is annoying).

Do you subscribe to LipMonthly? What did you get in your February bag?

Stay Beautiful,
Sarah
